Parking under Gellérthegy in Tabán.

Wild spot Budapest, Central Hungary, Hungary DU DucatoL1

About this place

At the end of a dead-end street in Tabán, there is free parking that can accommodate a few crews and not very long campers. The road surface is asphalt, which makes it easy to access by both car and motorcycle. You can stay here overnight, but camping is not allowed. The area is heavily frequented by tourists and locals, and there are residential blocks nearby. Tabán is located in Budapest, on Gellérthegy, at an altitude of 140 m above sea level. In the area, you will hear a variety of birds, such as jackdaws, pigeons, blackbirds, and tits. It is also worth noting the nearby Rác Thermal Bath, known for its Turkish baths from the 16th century, which is part of a hotel and spa complex. Due to its proximity to the city center, the sky here is quite bright, which limits star visibility, but you can still encounter interesting species of nature.
