The parking lot is located on the outskirts of the small village of Rohr, not far from Meiningen in the Schmalkalden-Meininger district. You park here at an altitude of about 327 meters - motorhomes, cars, motorcycles, and also pedestrians find their way here. In the surroundings, you can hear blue tits, great tits, and blackbirds; at dusk, the nightjar can be heard. The sky is dark enough to see the Milky Way. The mobile phone reception is decent.
