"Old building ruins in a clearing in the middle of the Cieńin military training ground-a spot known as the 'KGB'. Getting here requires a 4x4 and is usually made trickier by a ditch, though it's also accessible on foot. The area attracts off-road enthusiasts, but when there are no military reserve exercises, you have plenty of room to spread out and set up freely. The surrounding terrain is perfect for exploring. The sky is around a Bortle 4-the stars are clearly visible, though it's not completely free of light pollution. You'll hear plenty of local birdlife, including long-eared owls, barn owls, tits, and blackbirds. Located in Biskupice, Trzebnica County, at an elevation of 127 meters, the area sits on Miocene-era geology. Cell signal is available, with a tower just a few hundred meters away.
