Clearing in Łapsze Wyżne

Wild spot Łapsze Wyżne, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland OL Oliwia

About this place

Grandeus is a wild spot that delights especially in the morning. The rising sun illuminates the Tatra peaks, and the valleys are covered by a sea of fog, creating incredible frames straight from the tent. Gentle, grassy clearings on the ridge offer plenty of flat space for pitching a tent or parking a car with a rooftop tent. However, it is worth remembering that due to the open space, it can be windy here, and there is no water source on site - all supplies must be carried up or driven up. Access to the ridge is via an unpaved, gravel road that has ruts, loose stones, and steep inclines. Therefore, a vehicle with 4x4 drive and higher suspension ensures a hassle-free ascent. Regular passenger cars are better left lower down and approached on foot. In the area, you can hear various birds, such as the three-toed woodpecker, the pygmy owl, and the alpine accentor. The vegetation is rich, with many species, including common chamomile and dandelion. The site is located at an altitude of 791 m above sea level in Łapsze Wyżne, in the Nowy Targ County, in Lesser Poland. It is worth noting that the cell signal is moderate, and the nearest tower is about 2.2 km away.
