Lakefront square in Beaufortain
About this place
A clearing on a gravel road, just above the level of the lake, provides an opportunity to stop with a car for the night or for a longer stay. The access road is bumpy, but a car with standard suspension should manage if you drive slowly. You can also reach this place on foot. In the Beaufortain Massif area, you can hear alpine birds - the black jay, the small redpoll, and the common crossbill. The sky here is almost completely dark, and the stars are visible to the naked eye. Gentiana purpurea and bog cranberry grow around, and the areas around Mont Coin (which is a bit further away) are intersected by hiking trails. The cell signal is weak.
Wild spot, no facilities Bring everything you need and leave no trace. There is no infrastructure here.
